So: I wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons growing up, and during adulthood I just kinda missed it. I know every meme and every reference cause of popularity but I had never seen an episode, so I started watching on Disney + a few weeks ago.
Thoughts: ...I wasn't allowed to watch this? This isn't NEARLY as edgy as I was made to believe. Also, holy hell this absolutely squashes other adult animated sitcoms like Family Guy, etc. This...has heartwarming moments?
Definitely not perfect - lots of things didn't age well of course. But damn, this is so much better and has SOME feeling to it. People always compared it to Family Guy and South Park so I wasn't generally interested.
Also, the Treehouse of Horror episodes... why have they been kept from me for so long? Anyway, I've enjoyed seasons 4-11 the most so far. Not really digging the newer stuff.

Also, stupid sexy Flanders is my favorite thing. NOTHING AT ALL.
