Alright people, let's do this one more time.

Texas had nearly 6,000 new reported cases of COVID, which is 800 more than yesterday's then-record total.

We started June with 64,729 cases. That total has doubled in the last three weeks and change
The rolling average of new cases is more than 4,450. To put that in perspective, we didn't have a single day with that many new cases until June 19
Testing has increased, with the seven day rolling average of viral tests now at 37,231. However, increased testing doesn't explain the increase of cases as the positive test rate has increased to more than 10 percent
Hospitalizations are at an all-time high across the state at more than 4,400, according to DSHS data.

In the Houston region, nearly 600 people are in ICU beds, an all-time high. For patients in general beds, the number is 1,529, another record
Harris County and Houston continue to get hard. There were 11 deaths in the county, which is tied with June 19 for the most deaths in a single day.

The regions 14 deaths is another record for a single day.

2,279 Texans have died from COVID
And of course, stay safe and healthy. Take care of yourselves and check on others. We are in this one together
