Trying to go back again to boosting the positive people here rather than wasting time on the negative stuff. There are some great people out there.

Twitter can be such a gift. I can read insights and comments direct from some of the creators of my favourite works.
I can read tweets from @straczynski interacting directly with fellow fans of one of my all time favourite TV shows, and get incredible writing tips along the way.
I can follow what @ThatKevinSmith is up to and see him hit that like button when I boost #RedState yet again as one of my favourite films by *anyone* not just films by him.
I get to interact with favourite authors of mine like @guygavrielkay who are incredibly generous with their online time. People like him remind me of the time that Iain Banks spent five minutes IRL explaining the purpose behind Canal Dreams to this disgruntled fan.
I get to interact with my comedy heroes like @mrmichaelsmiley @boobygraffoe and @MrEdByrne too.
All I have to do in return for this is not to be a fucking asshole.

That's it. Disagree with people, have different views but if you're not a dick about it, you can continue to enjoy the incredible connectivity this medium has to offer.

If not, no-one owes you their time.
You can follow @Iain_Houston.
