I am back at the graffiti covered Lee statue in Marcus-David Peters Circle in Richmond, Virginia. It's day 27 of political activities. Police have come out in the hundreds to break up protesters for the past 3 days.
In terms of food, someone's got a low country boil cooking. Lots of veggies, shrimp, and chicken. Plus a vegan one is next.

The sun is about to go down but there's still a nice crowd here with the regulations about no visitors after sunset.
The sun is down, theres about 200 people in the circle and it hasn't been delcared an unlawful assembly.
Meanwhile just north of the circle is Grace Park. People are playing music, grilling nad have tents set up. Looks like an easier way to leave and carry stuff to the car if police show up.
The wheelie squad is out

If you guessed I am tired, you guessed right. I am staying out of the circle while there are chants.

Virginia State Police just moved up a few yards, they brought 2 MRAPS this time
a speaker from Richmond Police mumbles that the Lee monument closes at sunset
it looks like snipers in camo are behind riot cops
this is absurd, where are several hundred people going to disperse to that will appease the police
Looks like a cop riot to me
people in the circle are slowly moving out to the south, seemly exiting
A gentleman was riding a bolt scooter and was almost hit with this cop's shield until another cop told him to use the sidewalk

An unlawful assembly but everyone left the circle
The police just fired this, I could hear the wind. That's my cue to leave.
