On Episode 156 of #TalkingGolfGetaways, @JayRevell, who wrote the most comprehensive overview of @TobaccoRoadGolf for @GolfersJournal #10 after 6 months of research, told @golfgetaways and me about the definition of #MikeStrantz as an artist. That you could drop down on any
spot at TR, turn 360°, and no matter where you looked you'd find beauty, care and detail. I did that yesterday, purposefully, for 12+ hours straight, thinking of Jay as I went. Having played TR numerous times, I felt like I already knew Jay's words to be true. But yesterday
gave me a rare opportunity, to truly feel the heart, soul and genius of who Stranz was. All of these pics are random views of Tobacco Road, from angles usually not noticed. 36 continuous holes, 9 cross-country holes, 9 El Camino holes (one-shotters set from original, lost front
tee locations). 54 holes. 54 mind-blowing canvases upon which Stranz laid out his real-life imagination and creativity. For a golfer, the perfect art gallery, with every visit. Thanks, Jay. Bravo. ⛳🙌⛳
