For many Black people, performing anti-Blackness is about survival. Respectability is often a means of coping to "blend-in" and not draw the attention of fearful whites.
Part of the reason Black people cannot be racist is because performing anti-Blackness is often one of few means that some Black people have to avert the threat of fearful whiteness.

We can't conflate Black people's drive to survive with white people's propensity (and desire) to oppress.
Listen, a lot of Black people are stepping out of their doors each day just trying to not die. Many are afraid that a white person misrecognizing them or projecting white fears on their body could put that plan in jeopardy.
How is it possible, in a system that runs on Black Death, pain, and trauma, that Black people could somehow benefit from racism?
