Audiologists, Twitter is full of deaf and HoH people struggling with OUR lack of understanding. We need to step up. Do you:
1. Only book appts/confirm them over the phone?

3. Only have pictures of >65yr olds in your clinic?
4. Only have pictures of WHITE people in your clinic/on your marketing?
5. Have an intercom that needs to be used to get in (seriously!?).
6. Have interpreting services available for clients who need it?
7. Have a single member of staff who can speak sign language!?
8. Have provided Deaf cultural awareness training to your staff members? BY a Deaf person?
9. Investigated if the visuals in your clinic are accessible (eg. Not overly loud, striped, distracting).
10. Have a balance rail available for long pathways and individuals with Comorbid vestib concerns?
11. Have non-fluorescent lighting for individuals with comorbid VM concerns?
What have I missed? What else can we do better?
12. Do you provide captioning on all your video material?
