1) Jesus Christ. I just heard about the allegations regarding ECCW & the way it was handled. I'm so sorry to everyone that was involved with that company that had their trust broken today. I am so sad, disappointed & frustrated.
2) There is clearly a problem here. More and more promoters in the independent wrestling industry either have no idea how to address & manage sexual assault/harassment or are using their positions to try to mitigate the issue so it simply goes away.
3) We saw this happen with 321 Battle & sadly it has happened in another promotion here in the PNW. Reckless actions/inaction like this put the locker room & the fans in danger when you don't take these situations seriously. Workers and fans deserve better.
4) Codes of conduct are good steps forward, but I highly encourage promoters to seek out guidance from women in the industry & HR reps on how to build transparent policies that can not only protect workers/fans from other wrestlers but also can protect them from you.
