I remember watching Rich Aunty videos on tiktok and it focused a lot on stunting on family members to show you've made it. It got me thinking of the real benefits to having rich aunties not these frivolous things
Sometimes we forget that as women, having a degree and having that corporate job and your own apartment and car means the universe to some kid in the village or kasi, or a kid of a relative who's eyes light up when they see you because you represent who they could become
Mentoring a kid from yr hood or a kid of a relative goes a long way. Real rich aunty vibes are about asking "and then wena have you decided which course you're interested in?"&hooking them up with job shadowing opportunities It's about paying for registration fees
It's about helping them to fill in NAFSAS applications or paying for application fees so they can apply to more universities. Its about exposing them to what's out there. Taking them to Pigalle or Signature for dinner so they feel like "oh shit is thiiiiis what I am studying 4"
That brings an extra bounce in their step when they go to the library. So many kids are still the "first" to get a degree in their homes and in a world where SASSA grants and making babies young is the IN thing their dreams are a blurr which seem unattainable
But when you expose them to a world they don't know, they work hard to crawl out & when they study, their textbooks "slap different" because they remember the life they saw which aunty Mang Mang lives and they want that. You need not be a millionaire, you could be a thousandair
In your thousandairness some kid is looking at you with red eyes thinking "if only I can be like sis X, and have my own place car and manage my bills and TRAVEL". Find and mentor that kid. It could literally change their lives.
If Bill Gates took you on his Yatch and told you this could be you and if you want to get funding go here& tell them I referred youz these are the industries which have money speak to Jack he can draft a business plan ive paid him it would go a LONG way. THAT is rich aunty vibes
Not this kak of stunting on kids with your car and LV belt and being a high maintenance NIGHTMARE that doesn't want to help around because your nails might break
