My weirdly right wing view that the British state was so bad at government that ceding powers (to the EU or the BoE or whatever) was a good idea looks like a half decent take given the current smorgasbord of crap.

Do I want the government negotiating trade policy? No, because I think they’ll do a terrible job. And here we are.

For anyone who disagrees, I give you two words...

Air bridges.

What is the point of the state when it does such a rubbish job at being the state?

The coronavirus response can be described conservatively as an utter debacle.

And the future ain’t bright.

The union is doing a terrible job for majorities in Scotland and NI.

No one cares about London, obviously.

So, radical devolution...

Independence (or reunion) for Scotland, Wales and NI, if they wish it.

London to become a city state.

Rest of England divided into US style states.
