Let’s start with the beat that Madlib provided it’s a depressing but soulful beat if that makes sense, the main sample of the song is “That Ain’t The Way You Make Love” by Z.Z. Hill.
This track isn’t rapped by MF DOOM it’s rapped by Viktor Vaughn one of DOOM’s many personas. This is very important.
The subject matter of the song is Viktor Vaughn talking about a breakup where his girlfriend cheated on him, it’s almost like you feel bad for him but in the second verse he talks about cheating on her as well keeping that supervillain aspect of the song.
But my favourite part is how this song is disguised is a MF DOOM braggadocio, in the song Viktor says “When you see tin head tell him be ducking down

In conclusion everything about this song is perfect to me, the beat is great and fits the vibe well, Viktor is flowing and this song has 2 meanings, a breakup song and a subtle braggadocio and it has endless replay value That is why Fancy Clown is one of my favourite songs of AOT
