A thread on why you should try setting your phone to grayscale (and what it is)
A trait I share with the great @tferriss is self-experimentation
I'm always looking to try new things, then share my results with you
My current experiment: Grayscale

First off, what is grayscale?
Setting your phone to grayscale makes the display black, white, and gray - no color
It's listed under accessibility options (at least in iOS)

Apps are designed with bright colors to make you use them longer
You wind up playing whack-a-mole with those red notifications all day long
It's also overly stimulating - the colors are like rewards
(triggering dopamine, something @devinmcdermot knows all about)

I've had grayscale on for 97% of the time since Monday
I've definitely used my phone less
I'm going to keep it on and only turn it off when I need to
I recommend you try it out yourself!
