The following rant is something i need to get off my chest. You don't have to agree with me but please consider the stakes and the people who are affected.
If voting for your conscience leads to policy that puts kids in cages, billionaire tax breaks, and zero accountability for police brutality, then you're conscience is stupid.

Wanting progressive policy (I 100% do) is ok but 4 more years of this is not the way to get there.
Dont just focus on the presidency every 4 years. Bernie started a movement but movements only exist if they do that, move. WE CANNOT ALLOW OUR IDEAL TO DO HARM.

Immigrants are attacked, LGBTQ+ protections have been rolled back, the EPA is pro pollution.

This is unsustainable
Yes it sucks to focus on "just winning" but the stakes are pretty fucking high.

The two party system blows. The electoral system is corrupt, but nothing can change when the more oppressive party is in power.

Push and push democrats left (they're bending, it's already clear)
But when it comes time, don't let trump win. We cannot let trump win because they are not the same. Both parties are not the same. One is objectively harming society and our future, Protecting a sociopath, and killing the environment.
We can still move left as long as Trumps out. Bump out centrists in congress. The more Engels we boot and AOCs we add, the more progress we make. If we start in congress we WILL end with the presidency either by putting one in office or forcing the incumbent by will of the people
Call out the centrists when they're on the wrong side if society. Protest. We don't need to accept their word without the right actions but it's crucial to work together (or replace them when we can). But we can't just take our ball and go home. We need to work with what we have
Finally, To be clear I'm not blaming you for Trump winning. That's on his voters. But you have no right to claim conscience when people will suffer more under Trump. Getting our way is obviously best but not letting him get his way is the next viable option so we must try
One last thing. Voting to get good policy is great. M4A for example. But we can't lose sight of the fight to prevent bad policy (billionaire handouts, ICE, Ted Cruz). We can't afford to lose both fights
