Oh dear @leedslibraries cancelled an online drag queen story event after a hate campaign by Mumsnet users to have it stopped, aided by a Sarah Field of Leeds Council.
Sad to see the LGBT-phobes over at Mumsnet have so much sway. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-53164255

The original thread on Mumsnet contained so many offensive breaches of their own guidelines that many posts are removed and the thread closed.
Strange the BBC article doesn't reference the campaign source, or the councillor who halted the performance.

@UKPrideNetwork offered to host an alternative event, and suggested those upset at the cancellation could contact Leeds Council to make their voices heard. See below. https://twitter.com/UKPrideNetwork/status/1274746080387883008?s=19
If you're wondering who Councillor Sarah Field is...
Well, she's a known supporter of anti-trans gender critical campaign group WPUK. https://twitter.com/Womans_Place_UK/status/1132678486420856837?s=19

The inference of this campaign is that LGBT+ entertainers are "not appropriate" for children.
It's another piece of evidence to suggest that once the Gender Critical movement starts dismantling trans rights, they'll be coming for the rest of the LGBT+ community next.

Darren... You know I have a no tolerance policy with regard gendered insults. Not on my posts thank you. Please delete.
