1/3 Today (6.25) marks 70 years since the Korean War began and ushered in permanent structures of modern war-making, politics, and militarized state-building on both sides of the Pacific—including and especially the U.S. Yet, it is still neglected in many US and global histories.
3/3 It's neither exhaustive nor definitive, but these readings helped me cut through a lot of the fog around this war. Many works are historical, but I tried to compile a cross-disciplinary list. Hoping it can be helpful for anyone wanting to add the Korean War to their syllabi!
