Since 2011, we've seen the overtime budget grow by 84 percent. That is not sustainable. Are we any safer because we've let the overtime grow by 84 percent? If your answer is yes, let me ask you this: Do the black and brown people feel the same?
We can't pass Bandaid reforms when our system needs an overhaul.
