With so much going on in the world, we've generally kept quiet and amplified voices that should be heard.

But with some of the recent takes and views, we just wanted to share who we are, and why cosplay is important to us. 1/x
So, we are real-life partners of over 13 years. Gin is 38, defines as non-binary, and deals with disabilities including severe narcolepsy. Matt is 47 (for about 3+ more weeks), a father and has ADHD.

The point is, we and other cosplayers, are real, everyday people. 2/x
We never started cosplay for any other reason except to have fun with friends and celebrate having things in common. To be honest, our first MtG cosplay we made was Jace only because Matt stumbled into the game and the character resonated with him. 3/x
And because @cspranklerun befriended Matt at an event, things got rolling for us.

We may not be the most prevalent people in the community. We work on projects when we can because, you know, life. This isn't our full-time job. 4/x
But what we love is the community. We love making things, we love having it resonate with people. We create content not only to challenge ourselves, but to share that with everyone. And if our abilities happen to have people contact us for paid commissions, great! 5/x
We have done all of this out of our own pockets since day one. We have gotten into full walking carpets (for lack of a better term) and been drenched in sweat just because we can take our artwork around instead of it being on a wall. 6/x
So before you judge us, what we do and why we do it, remember you're talking about people. People with ideas, dreams and dealing with life just like you do.

In conclusion, thanks for listening. Thanks for your support. And thank you for having us as part of the community. G&M
