storytelling is such an underrated skill for being successful on YouTube. Recently I've been watching so many channels that don't have the best visual quality but they have great storytelling ability

Being able to tell a good story IRL is such a valuable skill for being likable. When I think of great storytellers the first celebrities that come to mind are @armiehammer @johnkrasinski @TomHolland1996 . They all have an incredible ability to make a basic situation interesting
If you are trying to make it on YouTube, and you aren't getting the results you want - focus on becoming a better storyteller IRL and that will inevitably make your videos more engaging to viewers.
A channel that has both exceptional storytelling/pacing and great quality is "The Dolan Twins" @GraysonDolan @EthanDolan Each video is engaging throughout the entire duration, and I'm such their watch time % is very high. Def a channel I look at for storytelling inspiration.
I think we all know that storytelling is important, but I feel it is not a skill many of us try daily to improve. Improving storytelling isn't as easy/concrete as improving something like lighting for example, but I think it is much more important in the long run.
