Cold Emailing can be very effective if you are using it correctly.

It can apply to almost all businesses, so I just wanted to lay out some tips if you want to try it.

--THREAD--
1. Target the right people

You have to understand who is going to get use out of your product/service and target those people.

You also need to make sure that they can afford it.
2. Personalize the email

You absolutely have to personalize your cold emails.

Make sure at the very least you include their name, and something that proves you did your research about their company.
3. DO NOT try to sell on the first email

Businesses get cold emails ALL the time. They will not respond if you try to sell them something right away.

Wait until the conversation moves forward before bringing up your product/service.
4. Give them something of value

Before selling to them, you need to prove that you can help them out.

By giving them some tips or some useful info right away, you are building credibility and trust.
5. Make it sound natural

More likely than not, you will be using some form of merge fields to send out multiple emails at once.

Make sure the merge fields flow naturally in the email. It's SO easy to spot when people are using these poorly.
6. Keep it short

We've all gotten the cold emails that are crazy long - don't do that.

You need to get straight to the point if you want them to hear you out. Keep it under 6 sentences if you want them to read the entire email.
7. Learn from the feedback

You'll likely get some pretty mean, negative replies.

Learn what it is that made them upset and adjust your email. This is a great way to always be improving your cold email outreach.
