On the one hand, 200 judges is a lot of judges for a president to have confirmed by now.

By this point in their presidencies, Obama was at 152, GWB was at 190 and Clinton was at 186.

Carter takes the cake though, with 239 by this point.
On the other hand, if you look at the % of court seats Trump has filled out of all judgeships, he's falls somewhere in the middle.

That's because the number of total judgeships has changed over the years.
“You know, 200 may be a snazzy number, but if you’re trying to weigh Trump’s impact on jurisprudential change ... on the district courts, he’s not ahead of them by any matter of means." -- Russell Wheeler of the Brookings Institution
Trump's 200th judge, Cory Wilson, is the perfect embodiment of a Trump appeals court pick.

He’s a 49yo white man who called the ACA “illegitimate,” said he backs axing Roe v. Wade + called same-sex marriage ”an attempt to cast Republicans as intolerant, uncaring & even bigoted.”
Wilson is also an incredibly tone-deaf confirmation in the midst of a natl reckoning on racial justice.

He previously dismissed NAACP concerns about a voter ID law as “poppycock" + ripped the Justice Dept for sending election observers to MS, saying voter suppression is "phony."
It's not just that Trump/McConnell have filled dozens of appeals court seats with white men.

They are overwhelmingly young, conservative, white men with records of being hostile toward voting rights, women’s reproductive rights and LGBTQ rights.

Lifetime seats.
