so, I have a theory this year's eras are borrowing a lot from the myth of Ouroboros; the snake eating its tail.

In the prologue, you can see a hint of the giant snake overlaid on the eclipse which also looks like the gold bracelet they wear.

We first know of Ouroboros from ancient Egypt. It's a metaphor of time as a loop & not linear progression. Related is the belief that the sun is the source of cyclical time, traveling the void of night to appear again the next day. Thus, time flows back in a cycle of renewal.

In the prologue, the eclipse morphs into the golden bracelet. Then the bracelet shatters. This can refer to the disconnected state of the guys from each other. Remember, this is the prologue for Good Guy.

When Inseong wakes he looks at his arm with the living golden snake. The snake is an ordinary snake, not yet ouroboros. From another angle, it looks like the gold bracelet again. Until it becomes ouroboros, the snake form is a metaphor of their disconnection.

We see the eclipse again and the guys dissolve into view with their faces in partial shadow. Another metaphor of being incomplete/disconnected/divided.

The prologue ends with Inseong alone and staring out the window.

On to Good Guy trailer, where we start also with Inseong alone.

The blue elements can be purely aesthetic to connect the mvs. Inseong as point can be cos he's the oldest? Or the glue that holds them together?

We all know the story of Good Guy trailer. Inseong's bracelet drops and breaks off into 9. Then time rewinds and the bracelet becomes whole again. This rewinding of time is another hint at the myth of Ouroboros and time repeating in an endless loop of renewal & regeneration.

On to Good Guy. A series of vignettes of the guys in adversary against each other. In scenes with the black suits they are also portrayed as competitive, even antagonistic to each other. This can refer to the black (earthy)/divided aspect from the Gnostic version of the myth.

Near the end, we see a sequence of scenes of rewinding time. The 9 bracelets rewinds & reconnects into 1. The separated billiard balls rewind into a collective of 9. The 9 bracelets converge into a globe.

It ends with them, now together, in the circular platform moving to the center in sync with each other. The giant looping bracelets encircles them like a globe. Norse version of the Ouroboros myth; snake encircling the world. Hindu version, foundation of the Earth.

Good Guy era is Glory. Now, it's GloryUS. This is where it gets loopy. If we follow first version of the Ouroboros myth, we are now going through a time loop. Not going back in time but a renewal. A new beginning. Leading up to Glory was a divided period. Glory for glory's sake-

-GloryUS is a celebration of their triumph as a group moving forward. Referring to Egyptian myth again, connected to the belief of Ouroboros & the sun is the flooding of the Nile in summer representing the beginning of the year. Summer Breeze, represents a new beginning for SF9.

Golden & Black Chasers. The myth from the Gnostics interpret the Ouroboros as the 2 aspects of man. The divine (golden) and the earthy (black). The harmony between the opposing light & dark.

Chaser refers to Ouroboros as the snake 'chasing' its tail.

Other related Ouroboros theories is how this symbol represents alchemy and the concept of eternity in ancient Greek. There's also a record where the symbol appears next to a maxim "One is All, and by it All, and for it All and if it does not contain All, then All is Nothing".

So, at first glance it looks disconnected.

But, factoring in the Ouroborus myths, we can see an interconnected narrative from Prologue to Glory trailer to Good Guy & finally Summer Breeze.

I forgot to mention. The ending in Good Guy with all of them in white suits moving in sync can be a metaphor for their divine (golden) aspect. Connected once again.

The guys have also mentioned before that Good Guy onwards is like a reboot period for them.
