such as ours, that is grounded in the insistence that predation is something "the other" does. Only when empowered privileged people--in the field, in societies so constructed--are willing to tear down the very structures of that violent lie, will progress be made.
This excellent thread, like that of @MAdryaelTong, recognizes that there is no "pure scholarship" (or pure society) separate from the violence and violation that supports the structures of such scholars' privilege.
