Recently I have witnessed Progressives use compassion as a weapon against logic.
Emotional appeals are powerful. They can incite mob anger, and the mob can never be reasoned with.

Emotional appeals are powerful. They can incite mob anger, and the mob can never be reasoned with.

Emotional appeals don’t have to be logical. They don’t even have to be factual. If you can stir up powerful emotions in enough hearts you can create the chaos you need to topple logic and good luck ever getting it back.
Next time you see an emotional appeal, next you read something that makes you feel so mad you see red, take a step back and ask yourself “What is the motivation behind this? What is the end game? Who benefits from my rage?” You may be surprised where a little logic will lead you.
