As a black engineer with the name Jurmarcus and now the email [email protected] I respectfully disagree with this @basecamp @dhh this seems steeped in Silicon Valley white privledge. Do you have anyone on your engineering, product staff that has to prove they are competent?
I always have to fight for the right to get the inherit respect and “qualifications “ that I belong in a conversation. So yes I have a signature because I need one and I do not have the privledge if not needing one.
