Junior folk: no one cares more about your tenure case than you do. It would be ideal for every institution to have a system to keep track of things, but all systems have gaps. 2/5
So if you haven't already done this, today is the day to start logging specific info for your COVID-19 impact statement. Keep records of all the ways COVID-19 has added to your workload, cut into your time, derailed your research, complicated your teaching, 3/5
and added to your service burden. And yes, things like having to homeschool your kids should be in there. Further, if you've been doing additional service this summer in response to the BLM uprisings, keep track of that in very specific terms as well. 4/5
