The question leagues and fans have to answer is what’s the tolerance level going to be for positive tests and players having to be quarantined?
Example: If what happened to the Phillies, 8 positive tests, happens in season. Do they play with 8 minor leaguers for 2 weeks?

In baseball, there’s the minors So it’s conceivable it could power through and convince fans they’re watching a representative product.
What happens if 8 Lakers test positive in the playoffs? Do they forfeit? Who plays? Would anyone view the champion as meaningful?

How do they handle the incubation period? Dr Citronberg, Director of Infectious Disease at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, laid out this scenario:
Contract Covid Saturday, test negative at 9am on Sunday, play in an NFL game, spread the disease & not test positive til Tuesday

I say all that to say:
Baseball has caught up to the other leagues where they have to figure out how to play games where social distancing is impossible amid a pandemic in a country that doesn’t have it controlled.
I want/need sports back but it’s going to be tough to pull off.
