Dealing with stress as a founder 🚑

THREAD 👇
1) Be honest with how things are going.

I share revenue figures.

I have good and bad months.

I don't pretend I'm always "crushing it"
2) Join a supportive community!

Share your hopes and fears with people on the same journey

i.e. @GetMakerlog , @wip , @ProductHunt , @IndieHackers

Not Reddit, LOL
3) Ask people for help!

I regularly ask more successful people how to do things when I get stuck.

Drop the ego.
4) Get plenty of exercise - it takes your mind of things and creates endorphins

I cycle, run and do yoga now!

So I'm moving pretty much every day.
5) Read books that aren't about business

Reading fiction will open your mind and get you thinking beyond sales, marketing and coding.

It also makes you more interesting!
6) Get plenty of sleep 🛌

I recommend no laptop, phone or tablet in bedroom.

Read for an hour before bed to relax you.
7) Have a healthy diet 🍽

Don't deal with stress by eating bad food - it will make you more stressed.
8) Take loads of breaks

I usually have a big break for exercise in the middle of the day
9) Don't work weekends

My own choice but I feel way more refreshed this way.
END) Go easy on yourself!

Making a profitable business is hard!

If it was easy, it would just be the way.
