According to @helloPeabody @PeabodyLDN it will still take 10 years and up to £57000 just to carry out the initial EWS1 survey on our block. That's before remediations if required. Being told we are bottom of the list so we are just expected to live here for the next 10 years?

Here is my low priority building where I now apparently have to live for 10 years, a 1 bedroom flat that I will be turning 40 in thanks to @helloPeabody
Why do I have to put my life on hold for 10 years? Do I just not have kids because I live in a flat I cant sell? Do I have to work in the area for the rest of my life? So we are in danger and need EWS1 but not that much danger that we need it this decade!
Housing associations should surely be doing a bottom up approach. Hammer out as many low risk buildings ASAP and get the market moving while starting remediations on high risk buildings. You know you need to remove cladding from high rise, you dont need to spend time failing EWS1
Why send EWS1 surveyor to a building you know is unsafe, instead starts remediation there and send EWS1 surveyor to low priority who should be a case of ticking boxes without remediation works. You cant tell us we dont matter and to put our lives on hold for the indefinite future
@RICSnews @RICSchiefexec @RICSEngland should my EWS1 survery cost 40k to 57k? Please tell me how EWS1 is going to help me when it has trapped me for 10 years. Thanks for ruining my life. Sincerely, every flat owner
