gist: the cops appeared to protect a house with kidnapped children inside and pretended they couldn't find the girls. citizens went in after the cops left the house and rescued the kids. then the cops started gassing the people for... uh... rescuing kidnapped kids.
and then I guess someone burned the whole house down
