Parson mentioned recovery data, and said it would make the state's numbers look better. With a more than 14% increase in Jackson County in the past week, I'm not sold. But it isn't even possible right now because the data is a mess.

I've been told health departments have received no guidance on how to record a recovery, and chose their own methods. Even within my own coverage area they don't line up — Lafayette Co. goes with 14 days, Eastern Jackson with 30.
We discussed these discrepancies last week at our Show Me the Future conference last week. Editors/reporters all over the state are seeing similar problems with not being able to align the data into anything cohesive.
