Twitter just suspended @DDoSecrets over #BlueLeaks
. @DDoSecrets has worked with dozens of major news outlets across the world and published terabytes of data uncovering money laundering schemes, corruption, and more.
Now we're being censored for publishing the #BlueLeaks files about law enforcement https://twitter.com/NatSecGeek/status/1275554481510457351

This isn't the first time Twitter has censored @DDoSecrets. They previously blocked people from tweeting our links but blamed it on a "mistake made by a 3rd party"
Apparently they've even taken that a step further and are blocking links already tweeted https://twitter.com/ParssinenPaulus/status/1275558850821869573

Twitter is now blocking ALL @DDoSecrets URLs from being shared, in addition to suspending the account
Twitter now appears to be retroactively removing tweets that link to @DDoSecrets in response to #BlueLeaks https://twitter.com/cesi0_/status/1275575180207599616
UPDATE: It's a permanent ban. I misread the notification.
Twitter has permanently banned @DDoSecrets in retaliation for #BlueLeaks, in addition to blocking anyone from tweeting *any* DDoSecrets URL and retroactively removing tweets that contain our URLs.

Even more than @DDoSecrets' suspension, people should be alarmed by Twitter banning people from sharing any DDoSecrets URLs because of #BlueLeaks
While some of the data we host was hacked, much of it was (and will continue to be) leaked
Twitter has silenced those whistleblowers

Twitter terminates DDoSecrets, falsely claims it may infect visitors https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020/06/twitter-terminates-ddosecrets-and-falsely-claims-it-may-infect-visitors/
Twitter just suspended @brazenqueer, my wife and fellow @DDoSecrets member, for tweeting a screenshot of a #BlueLeaks document showing the casual attitude the police have about excessive and deadly force.
It contained no PII. Only the cruelty of the police.

"It's not clear why Twitter banned DDoSecrets but hasn't banned Wikileaks — which similarly links to hacked files — or any of the news outlets that linked to DDoSecrets' #BlueLeaks page." https://www.businessinsider.com/blueleaks-twitter-bans-ddosecrets-account-published-secret-police-files-2020-6
