I mean, what's the worst that could happen, we forget Shakespeare?! His work is so INGRAINED in our popular culture, his shadow would be on our society even if we didn't give him any life for 50 years. I am not gonna feel bad for Shakespeare.
Just because Shakespeare speaks for you don't mean he speaks for everybody so give it a rest and let some other folks in, not just with the plays you produce in his stead, but with the new AUDIENCES YOU'LL INVITE IN!
