5 errors you’re making while intermittent fasting

We all tend to make rookie errors when starting something new

Read this to help fast forward your fasting knowledge!

1. You’re expecting this to be the “magic pill”

While IF is extremely effective for calorie restriction, it’s NOT a magical one-all end to weight loss

It’s simply a TOOL to assist with achieving a caloric deficit more enjoyably, leading to weight loss

Understand &remember this
2. You’re dehydrated and/or lacking electrolytes

During your fasting window, I highly suggest drinking water, sparkling water (+ black coffee, tea)

It will help with hunger, cravings + you’ll feel heck of a lot better being hydrated.

Your body is 60%+ water

Very important.
3. You’re eating the wrong foods

Since IF requires us to eat far less frequently, it’s more likely we won’t get our required nutrients in everyday

ESPECIALLY if you’re eating processed, refined junk.

Eat whole foods.

Protein. Unrefined carbs. Vegetables.
4. You’re ignoring the “what” in favor of “when”

IF does allow more flexibility with the range of foods you can eat, but it DOES NOT mean you can only eat junk (as just mentioned)

Eat nourishing, nutrient dense foods 80% of the time.

Enjoy delicious foods 20% of the time.
5. You’re not eating enough during your eating window

You read that right.

When you don’t consume enough calories, it cannibalizes your muscle mass, slowing your metabolism over time.

Eat in a SLIGHT caloric deficit.

Lose weight sustainability over time.

Don’t rush it.
