He's also listed as director of OpIndia's holding company, and the company that runs @tfipost. He's been an RSS worker all his life, and has had ties with the BJP 👇🏽
NL reached out to well-known brands whose programmatic ads appear on @OpIndia_com. Adidas wrote back saying they'll prevent any association "indirectly/directly with the said platform".

Dubai-based FinTech Hive also said it is rescinding ads from the website. @StopFundingHate
In a chat with @StopFundingHate's Richard Wilson, I learnt something startling: white nationalists in the UK have picked up "OpIndia's rhetorical brand of anti-Muslim hatred".

On the brighter side, Richard says that the strategy to target advtisers has worked in the West.
For those curious, here is the ownership structure of @OpIndia_com. Ashok Kumar Gupta, who has links with RSS and BJP, appears most prominently in this chart.
While global campaigns push for ethical advertising, the logical conclusion is news without ads. Until they disappear, media will only cater to their advtisers.
