Economic systems are never divorced from their sociopolitical contexts. It's why Cuba is still White Supremacist despite being Communist - and why being a Black entrepreneur in America doesn't help you beat back White Supremacy, either. https://twitter.com/LeftSentThis/status/1202281184346030080
If anything, sociopolitical frameworks leverage the worst features of an economic system to do even more damage to the marginalized. Because the marginalized aren't supposed to do well in the sociopolitical context.
This is why the Cossacks, who were oppressed by the Russian aristocracy during the Tsarist era were also oppressed by Stalin during the Communist era. The Russians never wanted the Cossacks to exist other than in serfdom.
It's also why Black people and the Indigenous are still oppressed despite the transition from mercantilism to capitalism. White people have never wanted Black and Indigenous people to be free.
Because all economic systems are created and overseen by governments, they can't somehow provide freedom to those under the thumb of those very governments.

Socialism will be as oppressive as capitalism because both don't exist without governments managing them.
The governments, in turn, function as the means by which those who benefit from various forms of supremacist bigotry will make their desires systematic.

Unless those societies abandon the idea that one group is superior to all others, little will change regardless of economics.
