... We devised a route to get our miles in and have been pretty strict about following it. I realize that this kind of walking isn't generally included under the umbrella of #psychogeography (it seems utterly contrary to the ideal of the aimless dérive / drift) but I ...
... have a number of observations.
1. The routinize of the walks mean that we have come to recognize certain fellow travellers. No, we've not made friends, told each other our names, etc. -- but we still greet each other with a wave. Physical distance is maintained ...

3. Nature has been, at times, distressingly "red in tooth & claw," even on the edges of a suburban park. This was more of a surprise than I expected.
4. My body has changed. I'm leaner (by a good few pounds, actually) and might belt fastens a couple of notches down. The calluses on my feet have changed size & shape.
5. Increased familiarity with the location means that The Dormouse & I have (okay, The Dormouse has) come up with names for particular paths and tracks. There is "The Loop," "The Wiggle," & "The Shimmy."
If anyone has any thoughts to share about regular routes (or even questions about my regular route), I'd be interested to read them.
