Went full nerd and compiled a spreadsheet of all gin blog/ginfluencer/communicator accounts across Twitter, Facebook & Instagram. Some very startling and obvious accounts buying followers and by the looks of it likes on posts. My advice is to brands ignore numbers...
...find people producing genuinly great gin, drinks, cocktail related content rather than looking at followers. For example one account claims to have gained 6,000 Instagram followers - in two months. Another claims to have gained on average 4,000 followers every month...
...little wonder there’s scepticism around ‘ginfluencers’ and bloggers, gin communicators when people can’t play by the rules and don’t put in the work and time. Can’t wait until these platforms remove fake accounts and bot created accounts.
