Got onto a really good routine for jogging when I was downsouth but my life kind of derailed for a few months but gonna get back on the jogging grind. I found it really improved my mental health, and I could feel myself getting fitter as I was doing it consistently.
Going to do an update everyday on this thread (either a jog/long walk), as I feel that will motivate me to do it more consistently. If anyone has any good jogging playlists/podcasts please let me know!
Trying out Couch to 5K for the first time.
Not going to look at distance/time whilst I get my fitness levels up.
Absolutely shattered after the first jog but feel refreshed for doing it. Motivated to go again on Wednesday.

Jog 2: Substantially harder than the first run, but that was down to it being 10 degrees hotter and me wearing a black top and black joggers.
Feels rough when jogging but the satisfaction of drinking water in the shade once getting home makes it worth it.

Jog 3/Week 1 complete. Felt a lot better than Jog 2, thanks to the weather for being less than 23°C.
Think I'm ready for Week 2, definitely could have done another run.
Got a basketball to play with on my day off from running. This is gonna be my time to get fit

Jog 4 in the bag. Feeling really good still, even the increased running time was fine, except the final run which required a push to get to the end.
Definitely think morning>afternoon for jogging. Feels much easier to control pace and breath.

Jog 5 is done, so have gone on jogs 5/9 days since starting. Consistency is paying off as it feels like part of my day now as opposed to needing to hype myself up to do it.
Strangely started off slow and picked it up towards the end. Addition of Tupac to the playlist

Jog 6/Week 2 complete. Felt rubbish when I woke up this morning but jogging is great for drowning out negative thoughts and I now feel refreshed.

Jog 7 done. Up to 3 mins consecutively. Feeling monumentally fitter than when I started and it's been less than 2 weeks.
Wish I could put this motivation into the gym but hopefully I can maintain it once they reopen.

Jog 8 complete. Not as strong as the other day, had a rubbish sleep so went out later than usual. Still stuck at it and got the run finished.
Gonna add a song/podcast of the run to make it less repetitive as well as a score.

Jog 9/Week 3 is el completico. Another okay run, just happy that I'm managing to complete every running segment, and feel I'm ready to progress again.

Jog 10 done, hardest run so far but I DID IT! Best feeling I've had after a run so far, proper chuffed with myself. Went a completely new route but managed to pace myself well.
Feeling so positive and ready for the day after that!

Jog 11 is done and I think I have got a pace I can stick to. Slightly slower than normal but I think in the long term it will make progression even easier.

Jog 13 complete and feeling quality and confident. Noticed today that I have lost weight since starting. Substantially fitter than I was too.
Looking forward to 5s being back so I can run around for more than 10 mins without being shattered!

Jog 15/Week 5 FINISHED. I JUST DID A 20 MIN JOG WITH NO BREAKS. As someone who has never taken up running before lockdown I am buzzing with that!

Jog 16 is done. Notoriously difficult run according to other people who've done it, but I paced myself well and got through it.
Was raining for the first jog in weeks so I ended up with a stitch for the first time since Week 3.

The first week I struggled to do 1 min run 1.5 min walk, now I can do 25 mins. Don't big myself up often but really proud for sticking to it.

Jog 19 done. It's all long runs from here, today felt a lot smoother than the other day, despite being in an uncommon area.

Jog 20 is outta there. Weather made it tricky but managed to finish the run. Gutted about the gym opening being delayed but glad I have this to keep me fit.
Need to pace myself better but happy with the run overall.
