Pt.1 I know that this won't be the most popular thread but I think after 20 years in the industry its time is said something. My musical journey started when I wanted to prove you can become the most successful Dj/Artist from Zimbabwe without leaving Zim.
Pt.2 I wanted to prove that you didn't have to leave Zim to become successful and not abandone the whole " I am not Zimbabwean" and be proud of where I am from and represent my culture and promote my country. I must say it was really hard. There was a point when...
Pt.3 My fans had no idea that I was from Zim and thought I was From S.A. People used to text me and say please don't do an Oskido on us and abandone where you're from. This I took with pride. But the more I did that the less support I was getting from home.
Pt.4 I was getting more sponsors and proper paying gigs from outside Zim than my very own country. Yes I had alot of fans proud of my achievements but that did not pay the bills. Thats when I was still hard headed and decided to write an open letter to our Leader
Pt.5 and to our Ministry for support. But that too fell on deaf ears. People did warn me im wasting my time. But this is the part I really have decided to be open up about. It’s hard to grown as an artist to Zim. If you stay in Zim your career will end in Zim.
Pt.6 my biggest regret is not moving out of Zim when I had the chance. I was stupid. You will be shocked the over 60% of the South African music industry is made up of Zimbabweans. ( Producer s, Band Members, Djs, radio Djs, Managers, PR companies, Compilers, Journalists .....
Pt.7 and many more... I know alot of artists that are Zimbabwean and are successful in other countries but don't want people to know cause it would end their careers. I wanted to prove them wrong... lol was I wrong. We don't have a system in place that supports
Pt.8 Our very own talent. Its sad really but until we do. I beg any artist or Dj wishing to become successful in your career please seek advice and invest you talent where you will be supported in a system or county that will invest in YOU. Don’t waste you time here
Pt.9 I know it sounds stupid but its the best advise I can give you. I'm sure you can name alot of artists that are out of the country and making bigger moves. Thats because they are in a place that supports them financially
Pt.10 Please I beg
its sad but its true. If you don't do this you will just end up finding a side hustle that will pay for your career just to be relevant and not successful. I know for a fact that the money you put in your brand in Zim will never come back.

Pt.11 Right now its the wrong investment to make. Sad but true. Now I understand why others left and became more financially successful. Don’t make the same mistake. Don’t kill your dreams..... Love you Guys, Best of Luck
