I am sharing this because as an Ethiopian, you must be aware of why Ethiopia is different. Our Judaism is different. Our Christianity is different. Our Islam is different. We hold the key for reconciliation and tolerance if we look inwards without importing faith.
They tried different method to divide us. We let them do it knowingly and unknowingly. We are reaching a tipping point where we must make the choice to protect our homegrown traditions and faiths. Ethiopia is the teacher for Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Not vice versa.
Ethiopia will be playing a crucial role in global affairs. It is our destiny. The GERD issue is just an introduction. We will prevail if we respect ourselves. What makes us unique is that all three Abrahamic religions were each adopted in Ethiopia at infancy and practiced since.
Previous generation didnβt have internet. We do. We should use it to learn about ourselves and the world. Previous generation made the mistake of looking outwards for the solution. The solution is inwards. We have it all. God blessed us immensely. We need a mindset change.
