@TSLA @TSLAQ So... it looks like Tesla has the #2 steepest y/y sales volume drop in Colorado (“CO”) YTD thru May, at #29/30. Its absolute market share in CO is down vs last year. And most troubling, it seems, aggregated BEV market share in CO is down vs last yr.
@TSLA @TSLAQ This damages one’s view that Tesla’s market share decline is inconsequential due to broader EV market SHARE growth. The importance of that can't be overstated. The BEV pie itself seems to be shrinking in CO, at least for now.
Importantly, we note that CO has one of the highest BEV subsidies of any US State at a straight $4k rebate (i.e.. more than even CA). If Tesla is struggling in CO, it could indicate a more serious problem.
