Do you mean both sides, as in Republicans and Democrats?

We all know each party is capable of racism and racist policies.

But if you say both sides are equal in this regard, then as need an explanation for why Obama's intern group photos look so different from Trump's. 2/
Or do you mean both sides, as in black people vs. white people? If so, uh, no, blame most certainly is not shared nor equal. 2/
Or, by both sides, do you mean racists and anti-racists? I mean, Trump may think there are fine people on both sides of that divide, but...that's definitely not how it works. 3/
"Both sides," in 95% of its modern usage, is a meaningless phrase meant to excuse the worst offenders, muddy the waters, and prevent us from identifying the source of the problem so we can fix it.

Yes, it can be used legitimately. But most of the time, it's garbage. 4•
