My dad, @johnpiper, means a lot to many of you for his preaching and writing. On this #FathersDay I’d like to honor my pops for some *other* things he taught me over the years that y’all didn’t get to see.
Never disrespect your mom.
Never talk crap about people from church.
Be kind to everyone who comes to the door, whether they’re looking for a handout, trying to turn you Mormon, or dropping off a fruit cake.
No half-done jobs.
If you quit complaining and got to work you could be done by now.
Don’t use a chainsaw one handed (a lesson in which he nearly lost a finger).
