Tim Scott out here telling the slaves to please understand things are tough for Massa too. "You gotta see both sides of the whip."

Scott is a great example of why blacks don't trust Republicans. The one black Republican senator has been shucking and jiving all week, making excuses for the killing of black people.

The Democrats have issues with race, as do all American institutions, and the congressional makeup of the party is not diverse enough. And yet compared to the bowl of turds the GOP offers they're so far ahead.

I would prefer a political system where Democrats have to seriously vie for the black vote. Too often Dems take it for granted. But the Republican tin ear on race, even from a black Republican, makes the Democrats lazy and complacent.
