Fathers Day

#HappyFathersDay
Over years we’ve seen Mothers celebrated more than fathers, even on father’s day we still give shout out to the mothers. We may tend to argue women get enough days in the year to be celebrated and father’s day should just be left for the father’s alone or father figures.
I used to agree with this motive then I realized we can’t really blame anyone for wanting to celebrate their mother on father’s day too.

We as guy can change this narrative not by arguing on social media about it or pushing an agenda...
we have a new generation to influence and do a better fathering duties than the last generation.

Don’t get me wrong we have amazing fathers, and I’m lucky to have one but let’s look at the society, we have a higher percentage of Fathers not being available for their kids...
so many kids grew up without a father in their lives, even those that that grew up with their fathers have no intimate relationship with their fathers, we need to do better.
Most guys prefer their moms to their Dad but still go ahead making the same mistakes their Father Made, how do you want your kids to see you ?

First of all Kids love Fathers that respect their mother, start from there, show respect to women.
I’ve promised myself as A Dad I’ll be a mother too to my kids, I won’t leave any duty saying it’s their mothers duty to, I’ll get involved in every little aspect of their lives, even as little as bathing them when necessary, I won’t keep my self as the author and finisher of the
home, I’ll be best friends with my kids and I’ll want every guy to take this steps and we won’t need to argue on every father’s day, be a parent to your kids, be a Dad to your kids, be a senior brother to your kids, play their little silly games with them
Most especially try and be close to your sons too !!

And for those that have Amazing fathers, learn from them and appreciate them

Note: He doesn’t need to be your biology father to be your Dad
