My Dad was not only my life coach but he was my:

football 🏈 coach
baseball ⚟ coach
basketball 🏀 coach

In honor of Father’s Day -

I want to share some of his most inspiring teachings that still apply to life today!
“It’s just you and the catcher, block out all the other noise.”

I walked 3 batters in a row and hit the last kid in the ass.

My dad made a mound visit to try and calm me down and get me refocused.

Life lesson: Focus on YOUR game, block out all the other bullshit.
“If you stop running hard that’s how you get hurt, always go full tilt!”

I just got hit... HARD.

One of those wake up call hits that lets you know the opponent is coming for you.

Life lesson: Don’t stop or hesitate because you are afraid. Run straight through your fears.
“I don’t care if you hate each other in school, when you put that jersey on you get along and work hard for each other.”

He taught us that these were TEAM games.

We couldn’t do it on our own.

Life lesson: You don’t have to LIKE everyone you work with, just do your job!
“Leave it all out on the field, be proud of the effort you gave.”

Our football team in grade school was bad... I mean lost every game bad.

He inspired us each game to give it our all.

Life lesson: YOU can’t control the outcome, only your level of effort.
“The most important pitch is the next one.”

When he asked what the most important pitch was, everyone got it wrong.

- Curveball đŸ’«
- Changeup 🛑

NOPE!

Life lesson: What’s done is done, we can only focus on the next thing to come.

What are some lessons that your Dad has taught you that stick with you to this day?
