#F1
China 2013

It didn't take long for Lewis to secure his first pole for the team. At the Shanghai circuit, he put himself at the front of the grid in his third race for the Silver Arrows.
Britain 2013

What could've been 😔

After a great lap on Saturday, a puncture on Sunday cost Lewis what was a perfect start to his home race.
Germany 2013

At the Nurburgring, where he had won in 2011, Hamilton put himself on pole by around a tenth of a second. Not bad for the team's home race!
Hungary 2013

It was a special weekend for Lewis, as he would take his first Mercedes win the following day. On Saturday, he edged out Vettel to take a fourth pole of the season.
Belgium 2013

In what was his last pole of the year, Lewis performed brilliantly at a wet Spa circuit to earn another 1st place in quali.
Australia 2014

New season, new era. Hamilton fended off Rosberg and Ricciardo to take pole at a soaked Albert Park.
Malaysia 2014

Lewis was on top on Saturday at Sepang. After the disappointment of race day in Australia, he bounced back with a win on Sunday to finish a good weekend for the team.
China 2014

With a time of 1:53.860, Hamilton put it on pole in China. He surpassed Jim Clark to have the most pole positions for a Brit in Formula 1.
Spain 2014

His fourth pole of the year in only the fifth round proved Hamilton was a great performer on Saturday. He took his first pole in Spain, ahead of his teammate.
Italy 2014

After an unlucky spell, Lewis was back on pole at the Temple of Speed, topping all three qualifying sessions.
Singapore 2014

Under the lights of the Marina Bay circuit, Hamilton put his car on pole, on a weekend in which he'd leave as Championship leader.
Russia 2014

Hamilton took pole for the inaugural Russian Grand Prix, after a mistake from Valtteri Bottas may have cost him a maiden pole. It would be Lewis' last of the year.
Australia 2015

Starting the year in style, Lewis took pole in Melbourne again, topping all three qualifying sessions and outqualifying Nico by a margin of six tenths.
Malaysia 2015

Not even an unexpected rain shower could throw Lewis off of his stride. He went fastest in Malaysian qualifying for the second year in a row.
China 2015

Claiming a hat trick of poles in China, Lewis' first run in Q3 was good enough for pole.
Bahrain 2015

Another race, another pole. Hamilton made it four out of four poles in 2015 at the Sakhir circuit, edging out his teammate again.
Monaco 2015

The first pole on the streets of Monaco is special, and with an immense lap, Lewis took his first. It could've been much more had it not been for a strategy error the following day.
Canada 2015

Traditionally, Montreal had been a great track for Hamilton. This held true in 2015, as he took pole on Saturday, and a win come Sunday.
Austria 2015

A bizarre end to quali did nothing to affect the result. Lewis took a seventh pole of the year, as both he and Nico made mistakes.
Britain 2015

Don't you just love it when Hamilton takes pole at Silverstone? The crowd certainly do, and we saw that in 2015, where Lewis took his second pole for the team at home.
Hungary 2015

On a sad weekend, Lewis took yet another pole. Race day didn't go too well, but his ninth pole in ten races is quite the achievement.
Belgium 2015

Taking pole at Spa again, Lewis beat Rosberg by around half a second. It was the best way to come back from a disappointing race in Budapest.
Italy 2015

Unbelievably, this would be his last pole of 2015. Lewis drove a great lap to end qualifying fastest.

At the end of the year, he was awarded the pole position trophy.
Australia 2016

Under the new (interesting 😬) qualifying system, Lewis took pole for the third straight year at Albert Park.
Bahrain 2016

*That* sexy lap was good enough for pole position, his second of the season.
Spain 2016

Calm before the storm...

Lewis took his second pole at Barcelona, leading Rosberg, Ricciardo, and Verstappen.
Canada 2016

With a 1:12.812, Lewis took yet another pole in Canada, nine years after his maiden win. He would win the next day after a fight with Vettel.
Austria 2016

Mixed conditions, discussions over track limits, and a mixed up grid didn't change the man on pole. He would be joined on the front row by Nico Hulkenberg.
Britain 2016

Taking another pole at home was just what the crowd wanted to see. Hamilton would follow it up with a home win the next day.
Italy 2016

Fastest in all three parts of qualifying, and around half a second faster than anyone, Lewis took pole at Monza.

Before the heartbreak that I don't wish to remind anyone of 💔

A good lap secured yet another pole for Lewis, at a crucial point in the championship.
USA 2016

The most successful driver at the Circuit of The Americas started the 2016 race from pole, after a rough patch spanning five races.
Mexico 2016

China 2017

After losing out on his grid advantage in Australia, Lewis took pole in China, and finished in P1.
Spain 2017

At this point in time, there had been 10 winners in Spain in as many years. Hamilton changed this, after pole was followed by a win.
Canada 2017

His 65th career pole, matching his hero. What a day for Lewis! He received this very special gift from the Senna family. 💚💛
Baku 2017

Before the craziness of Sunday, Lewis took his first pole at the Baku City Circuit. He had a much better Saturday than the year before.
Britain 2017

The home crowd had reason to cheer as their man started on pole at Silverstone for a 5th time.
Belgium 2017

Matching Michael Schumacher is no easy feat, but that's exactly what Lewis did in Spa, scoring his 68th career pole.
Italy 2017

A crazy, rainy qualifying at Monza was the setting for Hamilton's record-breaking 69th pole. In his career, this is a moment he can be proud of forever.
Malaysia 2017
