Consider the fact that most of the masks being worn are known to be ineffective for COVID... there are no standards for what kind of mask is required in the areas that are requiring them... so what’s the real purpose if not psychological?

I should have mentioned this! Yes, herd (mob) psychology is also dangerously reinforced by seeing others 1) anonymous, and 2) also treating the object of your wrath as an object.
