Best player at every number (Premier League only)
No.1 Allison- Far and away the best keeper in the league and arguably itw. Keeping 21 clean sheets in the 18/19 season in the league and been unlucky with injuries this year showed how much we missed him vs Atletico
No.2 Matt Doherty- Has an impressive 4 goals and 3 assists in 28 games so far in the prem this season building on a great breakout season
No.3 - almost no competition for this number apart from these two who I cant split both provide crucial roles for their respective teams and are reasons they are both so far ahead of expectations this season. Injuries held Fabinho from being in conversations of best cdm itw
3 of the first 4 have been Liverpool players which I guess is a tester ant to how good we’ve been this season or my bias either way what else can be said about this one. Bargain.
No.5 - Includes players like Aké, Tarkowski and Wijnaldum but for me has to be Lewis Dunk at the minute if Brighton are to survive he’ll be a big reason why.
No.6 - Paul Pogba the saying “form is temporary, class is permanent” perfectly sums up Paul pogba oneof the best midfielders in the league and the world for that matter.
No.7 - Tie (honourable mentions sterling and Richarlison) Last year I would’ve said kanté no question but the combination of Son having another great season and kanté missing a lot of games this season brought this one closer.
No.8 - Ruben Neves possibly the greatest player ever to play in the championship he managed to carry that form into the premier league and became a driving force in a wolves team looking to break into the champions league places.
No.9- Roberto Firmino (honourable mention Jamie Vardy ) although heavily criticized in his role as a false 9 Bobby firmino has still chipped in with 8 goals and 7 assists in the league this season.
No.10 -Sadio Mané (honourable mention Sergio Aguero) despite another incredible season form aguero Mané just has to edge this for me based on his work rate on the defensive and offensive side on the ball.
No.11- Mo Salah once again does it need an explanation one of the best players in the league unplayable at times .
No.12 -Tie in the interest of not having too many Liverpool players although these two provide very different qualities they are both exceptional at what they do
No.13-Pascal Gross (honourable mention Callum Wilson) For me pascal gross is almost like a mini de bruyne and was crucial for Brighton last season and has been at times this season.
No.14- Pierre Emerick Aubameyang the Gabonese striker has been one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing arsenal team this season and last for that matter still in the race for the golden boot this year despite a disappointing week.
No.15- Willy Boly (honourable mention Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain) The Frenchman has been a great leader for wolves keeping 4 clean sheets in 5 games since his return against Leicester.
No.16- James Ward-Prowse (honourable mention Rodri) Ward-Prowse has undoubtedly been Southampton’s best creator and most important player for the last 2 seasons can take a free kick as good as anyone beautiful player to watch.
No.17- Kevin De Bruyne another one where I don’t really need to say much just an amazing player to watch and one of the best players in the league.
No.18- Bruno Fernandes the Portuguese CAM had been amazing since joining in late January with 3 goals and 3 assists in 6 games as well as vision matched by few.
No.19 - Leroy sané (honourable mention Nicolas Pépé) The German winter was expectorant before an unfortunate injury for all this season looks like this will be his last year in the league anyway with his contract running down.
No.20- Bernardo Silva the Portuguese winger was man city’s most consistent winger last season and has been brilliant at times this season finally recreating his Monaco form.
No.21-David Silva another man city player 😕 what can I say this is the magician the prem will miss him when he leaves this season instant legend onve he goes.
No.22- TIE (Harry Wilson and Christian Pulisic) both these young singers have had exceptional seasons in the prem with 7 goals and 5 goals including a hat trick respectively. Wilson is an exceptional free kick taker and pulisic has the pace and the dribbling to beat any defender.
No.23- Steven Bergwijn ( very honourable mention Ismaila dare) An iconic sporting number worn by a two players with lethal pace and great finishing although I’ve chosen Stevie wonder seems to be a big game player and great on the counter attack.
No.24 -Gary Cahill (honourable mention Reece James) this was a tough decision but I’ve gone for a reliable center back who’s having a renaissance year at palace with them having 10 clean sheets as well as on course to finish in the top half for the first time this decade.
No.25 -Wilfred Ndidi one of the best cdm’s in the league protects Leicester’s back 4 like no other and plays in a midfield with almost no other great defenders amazing signing and is one of the reasons Leicester could be in the champions league again next season.
No.26- TIE both these players have amazing come up stories and for me you have the best left back in the league as well as the most skillful winger.
No.27- Divock Origi - most clutch player in the league the undisputed G.O.A.T used to have the best hair in the league just an absolute beast.
No.28- Joao Moutinho (honourable mention Cesar Azpilicueta) very tough choice but Moutinho has brought so much into this wolves side these last two seasons I couldn’t pass him up
No.29-Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a good season at palace last year and us built on it becoming a top 3 RB in the premiere league this year.
No.30- Michail Antonio not much choice at 30 but on his day a good striker who had a lot of upside before his injuries could be crucial to west ham amidst the relegation battle.
No.31- Ederson 2nd best goalkeeper in the league exceptional with the ball at his feet just prone to a mistake overall great player.
No.32- Joel Matip came as a free transfer from Schalke and has been really good when he isn’t injured force in both boxes and an all around quality centerback.
No.33- Emerson palmieri tough choice between him and Ben Davies but I’ve opted for the italian been good for Chelsea this season and does good work on both ends of the pitch.
No.34-Granit Xhaka (honourable mention Martin Kelly) an incredibly promising midfielder coming from the bundesliha who like many others has had a very up and down time at arsenal still always gives his all.
No.35- Gabriel Martinelli (honourable mention Jan Bednarek ) this one is based a lot off of potential and was a tough choice but if the Brazilian can get some more game time this season and chip in a bit more he could look to move somewhere with more consistent minutes.
No.36- Sean Longstaff the older of the longstaff brothers Sean longstaff broke into the Newcastle side under rafa and showed great promise started well under Bruce but has seemingly fallen out of favour a little bit.
No.37- Adama Traore the Spaniard has been electric for wolves chipping in with 4 goals and 8 assists in the prem fastest player in the world arguably and amazing to watch unmarkable at times.
No.38- Axel Tuanzebe another number with not much choice but this young united centerback has been good when given a chance in the side this season.
No.39-Scott Mctominay (honourable mention japhet tanganga) Scott McSauce almost like a worse pogba he’s been very consistent for United this season and even scored a goal against Man City earlier in the year.
No.40-Tyrone Mings probably Villa’s best defender doesn’t seem long ago he was stamping on Zlatan but has matured since he went to villa and even though there defence has been terrible he looks a bargain for any team if they do go down.
No.41- Declan Rice as someone from Ireland Declan rice might not be a man I particularly enjoy watching but his talent is undeniable even though west ham are in relegation trouble their squad might just be good enough to get them out of it.
