The three rules to be more disciplined

[THREAD]
So your goal is to change the world, but you don't act like it.
You see, when you set a new goal, you have done only 10% of the job.
You know where you want to go.
Executing the actions that will make you accomplish that goal is the other 90%.
That's how you'll get there.

That's how you'll get there.
At some point, you see that your actions are not as good as your ambitions.
That's where the important question pops up.
Do I lower my ambitions to match my actions?
Or
Do I Keep my ambitions super high and work on my actions?
That's where the important question pops up.
Do I lower my ambitions to match my actions?
Or
Do I Keep my ambitions super high and work on my actions?
In order to answer that, You have to realize something first.
If you have big goals and your actions do not meet the minimum effort to complete that goal.
You just don't give a DAMN about your goal.
Your actions towards a goal, speak louder than your thoughts about that goal.

To demonstrate. Let me make you a question.
What's the chance of you making a million dollars in a year from now?
20%? 10%? 1%?
Now let me tweak it just a little bit.
What's the chance of you making a million dollars in a year from now. And if you don't, You die.

It's near to a 100% right?
Did the goal change? Nope, still 1M
Did the time frame change? Nope, still 1 year
The only thing that changed is that now you actually give a damn about the goal.
Wouldn't you work harder than you've ever had in your life to get that 1M? Yeah, me too.

1) Determine what would happen if you don't accomplish the goal.
Set REAL scenarios that frighten you enough to make you wake up every morning and work your ass off.
Set REAL scenarios that frighten you enough to make you wake up every morning and work your ass off.
Now let's focus on what happens next.
Let's keep with the 1M dollar example.
You feel motivated about your goal.
Day 1: You're reading and learning about your new business
Day 10: You decide to work the next day... you have time anyway.
Day 20: You fail at your goal.
Let's keep with the 1M dollar example.

Motivation vs Drive
Motivation is like a match. It burns for a few moments but that's it.
Drive instead is like a big log that doesn't stop burning.
A motivated person will work until the motivation fades.
A person who's driven wont stop until he accomplishes what he wants.

2) Find the motivation for a few days, then replace it with drive progressively.
I struggled for a very long time with falling short from my goals.
When I felt like I was near, I stopped working towards them.
Back to the 1M or you die example.
Would you stop at $ 999,999.99?
You wouldn't die for a penny. It's ridiculous.
So that's rule number three.

3) Don't stop until you achieve exactly what you proposed.
Now that you know the basic rules you can finally answer the first question.
Yep, you got that right.
Don't lower your ambitions. If they're that big. It means you believe you can achieve them.
Instead, use this thread to work on your actions.
